If you’ve looked at my other images already, you’ll have noticed that I am drawn to slow shutter speeds and capturing landscapes that only the camera can see. This group of images is the ultimate (for me — so far) expression of that: images taken in the dark that sometimes can take an hour or more to capture. Almost all of these images are composed of multiple exposures, either due to the limitations of the lens (for panoramas) or the camera battery (for star trails). Some of them involve “light painting” with a flashlight. All of them create a world unique to night photography.
Don’t panic – More pictures will be added to this gallery as I write additional posts about images from my Night portfolio.
